INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WORKSHOP & CELEBRATION DINNER will take place on March 11, 2023 from 4:00PM – 11:00PM at Queen’s Manor Event Centre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
The Chief Guest will be Her Excellency Pastor Dr. Dorcas Rigathi EGH , The Spouse of the Deputy President of The Republic of Kenya.
Other Special Guests expected to grace the event include Kenya High Commissioner to Canada; Kenya Honorary Consul in Toronto; Canadian Federal, Provincial & Municipal Government Leaders as well as Corporate, Community & Religious Leaders.
International Women’s Day 2023 Theme: “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”
There will be two sessions:
- Session 1: Workshop facilitated by Gender Specialists (4:00PM – 7:00PM)
- Session 2: Celebration Dinner with Key Stakeholders (7:00PM – 11:00PM)
The workshop facilitators will include:
- Prof. Margaret Kamar – Impact of COVID-19 on Women & Girls
- Prof. Njoki Wane – Gender Equality Gaps during COVID-19 Pandemic
- Ms. Essie Wambui – Skills & Resources for COVID-19 Recovery & Resilience
